Welcome to Centre Hipic Marina Alta, the perfect place for horse loversWe are in the heart of the Costa Blanca, the place for lovers of horses and riding of all ages, with direct access to the beautiful surrounding countryside. We are a friendly and relaxed family run riding school and livery yard located just outside Calpe on the main N332 road to Benissa. Here you can learn to ride and enjoy all aspects of horsemanship. Why not come and experience how the excitement of horse or pony riding can be for both adults and children and join us for a riding lesson or a hack on our well trained horses through the beautiful countryside surrounding the Centre. If you have never tried riding why not give it a go. But be warned – it can be addictive! We cater for all ages and abilities, from a toddlers first experience of sitting on ‘Baby’ our friendly, reliable miniature Shetland pony, to expert riders seeking secure and comfortable livery for their own horse. |

The Centre Hipic Marina Alta was built in 1996 for bullfighting and converted to an Equestrian Centre in 2004. The riding stables retain all of their original Spanish features and charm and the old bullring makes a perfect schooling and lunging arena. We also have a charming barbecue and summer kitchen with a shaded terrace and all the space necessary for catering private parties. The main stable block provides well shaded comfortable boarding for 12 horses and ponies and there are a further 11 paddocks or corrals behind. Our facilities also include two dedicated arenas for riding; Dressage/Jumping Arena 20m x 60m, Round Training Area 40m and a Manége/Turnout Area 15m x 35m, as well as direct access to tracks and trails through the countryside behind the centre where you can experience a different side to Spain, away from the hustle and bustle of the coast. Come along and have a look around – we are open every day from 9am – 2pm and 5pm – 7pm – or phone us for a chat. Riding SchoolWe can provide a full training programme tailored to each individual pupil’s requirements, taking them from novice rider to expert at their own pace. Or our instructors are happy to offer ‘one-off’ lessons to refresh intermediate or experienced riders or ‘taster’ sessions to introduce kids to our horses and ponies. Our ethos is that learning to ride a horse should be fun and our teachers always try to maintain a fun and friendly atmosphere. Hacks and Pony TrekkingWe provide hacks in the surrounding countryside from 1/2 hour to 3 hours. LiveryLarge Livery Yard with 12 stables and both single and multiple paddocks. Livery ranges from just 110€ for DIY to 200€ for full livery in a paddock or 280€ for full livery in a stable. Pony Days/Pony ClubWe are a registered Pony Club Centre, classes are held each week with regular activity / training days and Pony Camps throughout the holidays. We also organise regular Pony Days for pupils to have fun whilst learning. PartiesFor special celebrations we offer all kinds of parties catering for whatever the customer requires, from simple hire of the Barbeque Area and Summer Kitchen to fully organised parties.
